Happy Sunday Foldliners! I’ve been enjoying a spot sewing this Easter weekend (with a side of chocolate eggs of course) and am counting down to the new series of the Great British Sewing Bee as the date was announced this week which I’m sure you are too!
We’re also sharing a sneak peek at the Sewing Weekender gang ahead of the full line-up announcement next week. You might spot some familiar faces. Have a wonderful weekend Sunday
Who’s excited!? This week we heard the news we’ve all been waiting for… series 8 of the Great British SewingBee will start on 27th April 2022 at 8 pm on BBC One! We’ll be updating you each week with a rundown of every episode and the patterns used so watch this space!

The Fibre Mood Didi Pullover has been on our radar since its release and then we spotted that it was one of the spring trends this season, so we are always keen to see how sewists choose to make it up! We love Emily’s choice of fabric for this super-cool Didi. The ribbed texture of the fabric really elevates this make! Read more about this wonderful make on Emily’s blog – Self Assembly Required.
The Paper Theory Patterns Zadie Jumpsuit is one of the most reviewed patterns on our site and we can absolutely see why. Ruth had been admiring Zadie since the release and hadn’t had a chance to make it… and the finished garment is a total triumph. Ruth noted, “My favourite part of this jumpsuit is the pockets, they are very spacious and square-shaped.” That essential info makes us love it even more!
We’ve added a couple of gorgeous Atelier Scämmit patterns to the shop that each have FOUR variations, so they will carry you through the seasons nicely!
Sizing: UK 6 – 24
The Jenna Blouse or Dress has a charming round neckline with a flounce. It can be made with sleeves that are slightly gathered at the shoulders or without sleeves. You can also make Jenna as a dress with gathered skirt and optional elastic waist.
Anaé is a button-front blouse with or without sleeves that can be made into a dress with an elastic waist. The v-neckline is finished with a concealed binding, and the 7/8-length sleeve is finished with a shaped cuff.
We’ve added a new Chalk and Notch pattern to the shop, a dreamy duo from Atelier Scämmit and some new paper patterns from Tessuti Fabrics.
Do you already have a specific design in mind? Or do you need some help finding the perfect pattern for your fabric? You can search all the patterns in our database using our newly updated sewing-specific search tool.
We are just one week away from announcing The Sewing Weekender line-up, so we thought we’d give a little preview of the gang! Can you spot any familiar faces? They will be sharing something wonderful over the weekend, so make sure you have your ticket and don’t miss out!

Esme and Joe have great chemistry on GBSB, so this is bound to be a marvellous chat!
