Excited to share some photos and outfits from my recent trip to San Miguel! If you’re looking for info on where to stay, what to eat and things to do, don’t miss this city guide I created last week. With that said, I truly can’t recommend staying at the Rosewood enough!!! It was a fabulous property with great food, drinks, rooms, service, a pool, a rooftop bar, an awesome fitness center and so much more. Definitely check it out if you’re planning a trip to San Miguel in the near future!
OUTFIT #1: SIKA DESIGNS DRESS // PAMELA MUNSON CLUTCH // LARROUDE SANDALS
This dress is by my favorite Black-owned brand, Sika Designs! I have several of their styles already that I love, but had my eye on this back-ordered style for awhile. In January I saw it finally became available again and ordered it immediately!! It’s *so* me. The one-shoulder neckline, fitted bodice, midi skirt and flounce-y ruffle details are everything I look for in a dress. I’m obsessed! It fits me like a glove (I’m wearing the US 8/UK 12 – it definitely runs small, so size up!!), and it has pockets which is a major bonus. I also got to debut my new Larroude sandals! These flat sandals are the perfect nude shade and feature pretty mirrored gem details that take the sandals easily from day to night. Perfect for parties or weddings if you prefer flat shoes or will be on grass or an uneven surface!
OUTFIT #2: MILLE DRESS // GOLDEN GOOSE SNEAKERS // KREWE SUNGLASSES // NEELY PHELAN EARRINGS
If you follow along on my Instagram stories, you’ll know I’ve recently become a major fan girl over Mille. This contemporary label features feminine, classic styles in the prettiest prints and fabrics you’ve ever seen! They just released their spring/summer collection a few weeks ago, and I ordered several items right away. A few keepers included this blue + white printed midi dress, this eyelet top, and I’m hoping to keep this smocked dress which ships in April/May. I tried the mini version of it, but it was too short!
OUTFIT #3: DEREK LAM 10 CROSBY DRESS // BOTTEGA VENETA BAG // LARROUDE SANDALS // NEELY PHELAN EARRINGS
You may recognize this dress if you follow my @TSSEDITED Instagram account! I fell head over heels in love with the vibrant patchwork print and flattering silhouette, and had to create an outfit with it. My mom actually beat me to the punch when she ordered it first, and she kindly let me borrow it for my San Miguel trip. It’s a perfect match for my new Bottega bag, so I’m thinking I should just buy it for myself, no?
OUTFIT #4: KARLA COLLETTO SWIMSUIT // ROLLER RABBIT SARONG // DANS LA MAIN TOTE // MARC FISHER SLIDES
This suit and sarong combo is super old, but I highly recommend Karla Colletto if you’re looking for high-quality, classic and flattering swimwear. It’s pricey, but worth it! I’ve worn this suit so much over the last four years. Still my favorite! Something that *is* new in this outfit is this pair of metallic slides. They are SO comfortable and plush! Gold is one of my go-to neutrals for spring summer, so naturally that’s the color I went with. Such a great everyday style for the season! They’re true to size.
OUTFIT #5: GIAMBATTISTA VALLI DRESS // ANNDRA NEEN CLUTCH // ANN TAYLOR HEELS
You might recall I found this designer dress on major sale at the beginning of 2021! I wore it to a family friend’s wedding last summer, and decided to pull it out again for Haven’s wedding in San Miguel. The punchy color seemed perfect for the location!
OUTFIT #6: TOPSHOP DENIM JACKET // ZARA DRESS // DANS LA MAIN TOTE // GOLDEN GOOSE SNEAKERS
Last but not least, I sported this trusty, easy Zara dress I bought in 2020 for the travel day home. Not the cutest outfit, but I was certainly comfortable!
