Treasure Valley blogs – blogging photographers edition

One thing I’ve always noticed when doing Treasure Valley blog roundups is the number of bloggers who are professional photographers and amateurs who employ their images as a part of their blogs.

So go ahead and check out these locals who take pictures and post them on the interwebs for all to enjoy.

Buying local, Hobble Creek, stining, another downtown bar for sale and Boise Co-op art…

In bookstores now, getting over your ex, tourney wrap and shopping on the street…

  • First, the good news…: ‘Quintessential Boise’ in bookstores now! Well, who knew! Being unemployed doesn’t bar you from rubbing shoulders with eminent Boiseans like Charles Hummel and Tim Woodward. Being unemployed doesn’t stop you from writing and editing a book. Being unemployed doesn’t mean you can’t have a book signing and bus tour! No sir!

Not so rural, gardening, a time for flowers, progress, HDMI cables and Reuseum treasures…

  • The Workings Of A Strange Mind: Josh. I watched The Hurt Locker the other day. I’d been putting it off, but not because I thought it was going to be a bad movie. I’ve wanted to see it for quite some time actually. The reason I’d been procrastinating is because I knew it would remind me of Josh.

Gettin’ aggressive, flower & garden show, between lovers and Kings of Leon cause a split…

  • Korovieva: I’m Becoming (Ever-So-Slightly) More Aggressive. Something has been happening to make me more argumentative than usual lately. You may think I’m as ornery in real life as I sound in my blog posts, but I assure you that is not the case. I’m pretty meek and passive aggressive–sometimes in scenarios where I should stand up for myself. This trait is partly responsible for the bitchy blog posts you all know and love (I hope). But for the past week I’ve been getting less passive aggressive and becoming more aggressive (i.e., normal).

There will be music, food, a raffle, and, of course, lots of wonderfully talented artisans displaying their wares. Festivities start at 5 pm so come down and have a look around.

  • The Mega Frontier: My Take on Idaho’s Lawsuit Against the Feds. If you watched Fox 12 News at Nine like you should be, you saw me pooh-pooh the Otter/Wasden/12 other states lawsuit against the federal government. The lawsuit asserts that Congress has no authority under the U.S. Constitution, to compel individual citizens to participate in the economy, e.g., by forcing them to buy health insurance. Regardless of your point of view on how the courts have interpreted the Commerce Clause over the years, I felt safe in saying that the lawsuit probably won’t get anywhere.

Paul’s Market, Morris Hill, Hotel 43, All Hands Go, pause for a cause and inspiration boards…

  • Kuna 360º: Frost is not my friend. What are the signs in Kuna that Spring has sprung?  Tulips poking through in people’s yards?  Birds nesting and tweeting at 5 in the morning?  Tractors doing stuff out in the fields?  (“stuff” not being the technical term)  Kids excited for a glorious week of no school?  Yes those are all signs that Spring has sprung.  But what is MY sure sign that Spring has sprung?  The greenhouse is going up outside of Paul’s Market!
