• Hipmombrarian: Match(dot)wrong. About a month ago I made an impulsive decision due to the fact that I had consumed 1 1/2 too many glasses of wine. One of these links above is to probably one of the most intimidate posts I think I’ve read since I started TREASURED VALLEY, it’s emotionally powerful because it’s real, it’s genuine. That’s one of the things that I love about this medium, the realness of reading about the lives of the people who live next door to us, who are waiting in line behind us at the Flying M, who are braking in front of us at the stoplight. You may or may not know who is behind the writing, but at least you know what other members of our community are thinking. The openness, it’s not for everyone, I’ll give you that, I routinely have internal conflicts about how much I share about my own life.

Not every blog out there is real…in a real-life sense, for a lot of people writing on a blog helps them say things that they never can or would in real-life, and that is also OK, it also makes for great reading. But there is always something special when you have the realization that what you are reading on some random stranger’s blog is real, a window into a real person’s real life — and that always amazes me, because that is a rare and beautiful thing.
