- Tamarack looks to the future after a troubling past. Many considered it the fastest growing development in the country. A new ski resort just above Donnelly. But almost six years after its opening day Tamarack Resort fell flat facing hundreds of millions of dollars in debt.
- Vallivue grads celebrate. Vallivue High School graduates ushered in a new phase of their lives as they received their diplomas at the Idaho Center Monday in front of thousands of family members, friends and supporters.
- Nampa schools plan for $3.4M in cuts. Nampa schools have identified more than $3.4 million in budget cuts that staff and students will feel in a variety of ways.
- Eagle council can’t decide on naming new mayor. After discussion, debate, and nearly three months the city of Eagle still has no permanent mayor.
- Man says gunmen invaded home near Boise State. The victim told police three men, including one who was holding a gun, woke him up while he was sleeping on a couch in his home on the 1800 block of West Yale Court about 6:30 a.m. Monday.

- Mosquito Testing Begins. Believe it or not, warmer weather is right around the corner. That means mosquito season is also nearly here. Crews are already out trying to determine what kind of season it will be
- Meridian man charged with second DUI this month. David Hart, 26, is accused of felony eluding arrest and misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving without a license after Ada County sheriff’s deputies said he led them on a short high-speed chase in a Chinden Boulevard/Linder Road neighborhood Sunday night.
- Mountain Home AFB Gets New Commander. The Mountain Home Air Force Base has a new commander.
- Reward Offered in Antelope Poaching Case. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is asking the public for information regarding the poaching of a buck pronghorn antelope near Emmett on April 9, 2010.

- America: Land of Religious Intolerance. Every week, the Boise’s mayor’s office sends the media a transcription of all the calls the Mayor’s Hotline has received. People complain about everything from the F35 to their trash service to “the trolley” to their neighbors’ yards.
- Boise police say kidnapping note found in restaurent a hoax. A note referring to a possible kidnapping was found by a server on an empty table at a restaurant in the 8000 block of Fairview Avenue Saturday afternoon has been determined to be a hoax.
- Saturday rainfall set a new record for the Treasure Valley. Residents enjoyed sunny weather Sunday and the view of 4 inches of snow blanketing the Boise Foothills.
- Nampa Train Depot gets $15,000. Thanks to a grants and private donors, the Nampa Train Depot Museum will receive $15,000 in funding, a timely donation for the museum, which has launched a capital campaign to preserve the historic site.
- Boise man dies in crash after refusing to pull over. When witnesses reported a Honda Accord driving slowly and weaving across several lanes Saturday morning, Eagle police attempted to stop the vehicle on Idaho 44 near its intersection with Idaho 55.
- Nampa Airport Fest. The Nampa Airport Fest got off the ground Saturday, despite the weather. The dark clouds were rolling in, but they weren’t ready to pack it in yet.

- Curbside recycling coming to Gem. Curbside recycling service will be offered to folks who live in Gem County beginning June 1, and if all goes as hoped for John and Lesa Dwonch at Sandhollow Sanitation, service to Emmett residents will eventually follow.

- Silsby’s Legal Troubles. Laura Silsby returned home to the Treasure Valley Tuesday after spending several months in a Haitian jail cell after illegally taking more than 30 children across the border into the Dominican Republic. Now she’s going to have to face her financial problems that were left behind during her imprisonment.
- The city of Boise and a new local railroad partner up. The state economy could benefit from a plan to build a major shipping hub by the Boise Airport.

- Boise Schools Receive Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Grant. The Boise School District announced six schools in the District were awarded grant money through the State Department of Education Child Nutrition Program to provide healthy and nutritious snacks throughout the school day as part of a Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
- Judge dismisses NCA lawsuit. U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge has dismissed Nampa Classical Academy’s lawsuit against the state attempting to allow the school to use religious texts in the classroom.

- Treasure Valley home values plunge again. Treasure Valley homeowners may get a rude surprise this year. Some homeowners could see both a decline in their home values and an increase in their property tax bills.

Sarah Palin will attend a public campaign rally Friday for Vaughn Ward, running against state Rep. Raul Labrador for a chance to take on Democratic Rep. Walt Minnick in the 1st Congressional District. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee was an early supporter of Ward, who ran the McCain campaign in Nevada.
- Ward takes down new position statements. Idaho GOP Congressional candidate Vaughn Ward posted three new position statements on his website Tuesday morning – and portions of one of them, on the war in Iraq, matched nearly word-for-word a statement on a California congressman’s re-election campaign website.
