Members of the Idaho National Guard and Bureau of Homeland Security map out their locations in the search of missing 8-year-old Robert Manwill. Guardsmen and women canvassed remote areas looking for clues that could possible lead them to Robert. “We have personnel out there that are scouts, they are trained in looking for things that the untrained eye may not see”, says Lt. Col. Tim Marsano.
• KBCI: Massive apartment search for Robert. Just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, detectives started searching the complex; including the apartment belonging to Robert’s mom.
• Idaho Statesman: Vista neighbors join in search for Robert. After a community picnic on Saturday night, Vista neighbors went to the police roadblock on Vista Avenue to see if they could help search for 8-year-old Robert Manwill, who had been missing since the night before.
• KBCI: Police believe missing boy is still in the Boise area. Boise Police say they’re investigating more than 100 leads into 8-year-old Robert Manwill’s disappearance. During a press conference held Tuesday night police say there is no evidence to indicate Manwill is not in the Boise area.
• Idaho Press-Tribune: AMBER alert guidelines restrict use in missing boy case. In light of 8-year-old Robert Manwill’s disappearance, many have asked the question: Why haven’t police issued an AMBER alert? Boise Police Department officials say federal guidelines limit when AMBER alerts can be used — in child abductions only.
