The McMillan and 7048 W. State stores will sell inventory from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The Five Mile store will not.
The stores are franchises owned by Shazam Entertainment of Kansas City, Mo. Blockbuster stores have lost favor among many tech-savvy consumers who want instant gratification. Blockbuster has been diversifying into Internet streaming, renting videos through the mail (like Netflix), and kiosk sales.
Admittedly, we’re Netflixers. We get our movies via the little red envelopes and also stream over the internet. Besides that the only real TV we watch is the 5 o’clock news if we’re home and then PBS.
