- Debate: Is it time to bring two-way streets back to Boise. Cities around the country have made the change to two-way streets, and some business owners think it can only help boost Downtown Boise. Downtown Boise changed to one-way streets in the 1950s to make it easier for cars to pass through town.
- Task force will tackle roads. Transportation funding in Idaho has become one of the state’s biggest taxation issues. And the debate over what to do never seems to end. Gov. Butch Otter will soon assemble a group of officials to continue the discussion about how the state’s residents will pay for Idaho’s roads and transportation infrastructure.
- Idaho Business Review: A potato by any other name. A Boise restaurant has reached an agreement with the Idaho Potato Commission over the name of the business.

- Washington Mutual locations convert to Chase branches. Washington Mutual’s 22 Idaho locations, 27 ATMs and 175 employees made the final conversion earlier this month to Chase, which acquired the failed Seattle-based savings bank last fall.

- Hobbyists take hit. Some local gun enthusiasts are heading to the range less often because of more expensive and harder-to-find ammunition. Tony Whitewater of Nampa said the price for a box of .22-caliber ammo has doubled in recent months.

- Boise’s mayor makes budget recommendations, including increases in sewer fees and parking fines to the City Council. Increased parking fines and sewer fees may be the small prices to pay for ongoing city services at the current level, according to budget recommendations that Mayor David Bieter made.
- Caldwell anti-gay activist will march in gay parade. Although he believes homosexuality is a sin, Caldwell conservative Tom Munds will march in Boise’s gay pride parade this weekend. The 46-year-old activist said he aims to promote his views in a non-confrontational way through his participation in the parade.
- Leader of Boise gay-pride group tells why he’s letting foe of homosexuality into parade. The leader of a Boise gay group explained Wednesday why he is letting an evangelical Christian who opposes homosexuality into the parade this Saturday in Downtown Boise.
